Your invitations give your guests a preview of what is to come,
so it’s important to send them out on time and with style.
-
Don’t wait until the last minute. Plan early, it takes the
pressure and worry out. Once you’ve set the date and booked the venue, make an
appointment to discuss wedding stationery.
-
Always order extra invitations so you’re covered. 20- 25 is a
nice cushion, in the event that additional guests need to be added to the list.
-
Be sure to have a completely assembled invitation set weighed at
the post office. Typically invitations are heavy and some are oversized, so you
want to be sure to use the correct postage. You don’t want
your beautiful invitations
returned!
-
Begin compiling your guest list right away. Make sure addresses
are current and spelled correctly, and no abbreviations on city, states, drives,
boulevards, etc.
-
If you are sending out save the dates, those same guests must
receive invitations.
